Did you know that you can start logging a ticket with any one of nearly 70 user & asset fields?

Did you know that you can start logging a ticket with any one of nearly 70 user & asset fields using Revelation’s proprietary ‘User Fynd” feature?

Every Revelation user knows that the first step in logging a new ticket is to identify the end user. Right there on the log a ticket screen is a drop down menu with all of your customers and under it another showing the end users for any customer you choose.

However, just a little to the left is the User Fynd tool, which can easily find any end user by simultaneously searching across multiple user data fields.

 

For example, if I search for “William” I find six users that have matching information.



However, if I search for “William 203” I find only two results that match.



And If I search for “William 203 Norwalk” I will find the one person I am looking for.



Of course, I could have just chosen the user I was looking for from any of the results above and Revelation would have populated the log a ticket form with their data.

Because you can also involve a user’s asset data, you can find someone based on their computer just as easily as by their name.

The User Fynd tool is configured in the Admin area, where you can select up to ten different fields to search across. With nearly 70 fields to choose from this can become a very powerful end user search tool indeed.
